Account Terms
- You must be a human. Accounts registered by bots or other automated methods are not permitted.
- Your account may only be used by one person. You may not share your login or account with another person.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and access to the email address associated with your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account.
- You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction, including copyright or trademark laws.
- You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service. If you are under 14, you may use Astrean only where permitted by applicable law and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required.
- Your use of certain paid features is conditioned upon payment of the applicable fees shown on the pricing page. Astrean uses Stripe to process payments securely.
Payments, Tokens & Refunds
- Payments for Astrean tokens and other paid features are processed through Stripe.
- Tokens are intended for use within the Astrean Service and have no cash value and may not be transferred or resold.
- Unless otherwise required by applicable law, purchases are non-refundable once tokens have been used.
- If a paid generation fails because of an error attributable to Astrean, Astrean may restore the token used or provide another appropriate remedy.
- Astrean reserves the right to change pricing and paid features from time to time. Changes will not affect purchases already completed, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Cancellation & Termination
- You may cancel your account at any time by emailing support@astrean.art.
- Upon cancellation, uploaded photos and generated media in our active systems will be deleted. Account information will be deleted within the period described in our Privacy Policy, subject to information that must be retained by law.
- Astrean, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by applicable law, may suspend or terminate your account or refuse current or future use of the Service if you violate these Terms, use the Service unlawfully, or engage in conduct that may harm Astrean, its users, or its Service.
- Where reasonably possible, Astrean may make a reasonable effort to provide an affected account owner with a copy of their account contents upon request, unless the account was suspended or terminated due to unlawful conduct or circumstances where providing the content would create a legal or security risk.
- If Astrean permanently discontinues the Service, Astrean may provide an appropriate remedy for unused purchased tokens, subject to applicable law.
Modifications to the Service
- Astrean reserves the right at any time to modify, suspend, or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service or any part of it.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Astrean shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
Copyright & Content Ownership
- You retain all rights in the content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Astrean a limited, non-exclusive license to use that content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.
- You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload photos and other content to Astrean.
- You may not upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or that you do not have the right to use.
- You are responsible for the content you upload and for ensuring that your use of the Service does not infringe the rights of any third party.
- Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Astrean does not claim ownership of the images and other creations generated for you through the Service. Astrean retains all rights in and to its software, algorithms, templates, designs, visual elements, branding, and underlying technology.
- You shall defend and indemnify Astrean against claims alleging that your uploaded content, or your unlawful use of the Service, infringes or misappropriates the intellectual property rights of a third party or violates applicable law. This includes reasonable legal fees and damages finally awarded against Astrean in connection with such claims.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or reuse substantial portions of the Service or its original creative elements without express written permission from Astrean, except as permitted by law.
General Conditions
- Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- Support for Astrean is available in English and French by email at support@astrean.art.
- Astrean uses third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the hardware, software, networking, storage, payment processing, email, and other technology required to operate the Service.
- You must not modify, adapt, hack, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service, or modify another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with Astrean.
- You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without the express written permission of Astrean.
- Verbal, physical, written, or other abuse, including threats of abuse or retribution, directed at Astrean customers, employees, contractors, members, or officers may result in immediate account termination.
- You must not transmit worms, viruses, malware, or other code of a destructive nature.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Astrean does not warrant that:
- the Service will meet your specific requirements;
- the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;
- results obtained through the Service will be accurate or reliable;
- products, services, information, or other material obtained through the Service will meet your expectations; or
- errors in the Service will be corrected.
Except where applicable law provides otherwise, the Service is provided without warranties or conditions, express or implied, including implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or satisfactory quality.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Astrean shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from or relating to:
- your use of or inability to use the Service;
- the cost of obtaining substitute goods or services;
- unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data;
- statements or conduct of third parties; or
- any other matter relating to the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astrean, its officers, employees, contractors, agents, successors, and assigns from third-party claims, losses, damages, and reasonable legal expenses arising from:
- your unlawful use of the Service;
- your violation of these Terms; or
- content you upload that infringes or misappropriates the rights of another person.
Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada.
The failure of Astrean to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Québec, sitting in the judicial district of Montréal, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
No Class Action
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that claims relating to the Service will be brought on an individual basis and that you will not participate in a class, collective, or other joint action against Astrean.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Astrean concerning your use of the Service and supersede prior agreements concerning the same subject matter.
Astrean may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
